OPTIMA REDTOP vs YELLOWTOP: Which Fits Your Use?

Compare the Actual Part Numbers
Do not buy by lid color alone. Confirm the battery group, dimensions, hold-down arrangement, terminal position, and vehicle requirements. For two compatible candidates, compare their published cold-cranking amps, reserve capacity or amp-hour rating, warranty, and price. Keep the units matched: an amp-hour figure is not a cold-cranking-amp figure. There is no meaningful single “REDTOP versus YELLOWTOP CCA” number covering every size.

A more expensive battery will not repair a charging-system fault or an unexplained parasitic drain. If the old battery repeatedly went flat, identify why before expecting a color change to solve it.
